“Databasifying” poetry [A quick blurb for Tuesday]

Sorry all for the delay, I had a quick (not so quick) confusion with logging in info.

For tomorrow’s presentation, I’m planning on exploring the idea of the database as an infrastructure that is increasing used to contain fields of information that traditionally were not intended for this type of representation.

The case study I’m using is actually another project I’m helping out with this semester called Ashlab, in which a small team is in the process of digitally archiving the works and house of the American poet John Ashbery, and some of the issues that need to be navigated when you do try to create a hyper-linked database out of something like poetry
